Hi all,
Since we have a Confluence Server version (5.4.4) incompatible with the "Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant" add-on, we had been trying to find a solution to move to Confluence Cloud.
A Product Advocate gave us the idea of replacing the Server license key with a Data Center license key and then using the Migration Assistant to migrate to the cloud. Please let us know if anyone else has done this before and is willing to give some valuable inputs or best practices.
We replaced the Server license key with the Data Center license key (as instructed by you for our Server 5.4.4 version migration). Nothing changed except for the License details page info.
While trying to add the migration plugin, we encountered an issue and are hence unable to use the migration assistant. Below are the steps we followed:
Tried searching for the Cloud Migration Assistant under the Manage add-ons page (https://www.fiorano.com/documentation/plugins/servlet/upm), but did not fetch any (may be due to the incompatible server version).
Downloaded the Migration Assistant add-on manually and tried to add it from the Manage add-ons page, but it threw an error.
We manually placed the jar file in the <Confluence-install>/confluence/WEB-INF/atlassian-bundled-plugins folder.
Restarted Confluence service.
After the above steps, the add-on got listed under Manage Add-ons (All). But when we are trying to enable it on UI, it is throwing an error. So, we are unable to use the migration assistant.
Kindly advise how to go ahead.
Thanks in advance,

Hi docsteam@fiorano , thanks for your question.
For this, I think you need the assistance of the Atlassian Migration Team. Please can you open a MOVE ticket with them?
