Sharing Issue

DavidM January 3, 2022

I am having an issue that I can share a Confluence page using the "Share" functionality, but it is not being received to the designated recipient. I have been using this method for years without any issues until now. All recipients have access to what I am sharing.

I have tested sending to different recipients and having them try to share to me but no one is receiving.

Have you checked the settings on the page and the confluence instance? "

  • Sharing or inviting someone to edit a page or blog post does not automatically grant any permissions - they will still need the appropriate Confluence permissions to access Confluence and view or edit the page. "

Thank you Carla for you comment. Yes I have checked and the settings are the same as when Sharing worked. Weird how I cannot even receive any shared pages I send to myself.

@DavidM have your users checked their Spam folders? If you are on Office365 I noticed that over the past few days Microsoft has tightened some of their controls and have found emails that were previously not going to quarantine stuck there. You may want to check that as well.

Thank you Andy. I looked into that and nothing there. But thank you for that info. I actually shared that with a team member which needed it.
