We have 2 confluence instances. We are trying to merge them together. So far in testing we have upgraded the old confluence to the same major version and managed to import some spaces to the new, which is great.
But the thing is, we do not want to just pollute the new Confluence instance with old and outdated data.
Is there any way we can move all the spaces from the old confluence into one central space in the new confluence?
For example this is the space structure of the old instance:
Reports\Pages
Accounting\Pages
Human Resources\Pages
We would like to have it show up like this in the new instance:
ARCHIVED\Reports\Pages
ARCHIVED\Accounting\Pages
ARCHIVED\Human Resources\Pages
So if we need to get some information that was on the old wiki, we would go into the ARCHIVED space, then within that space we would see even more spaces, which then contain the pages/data.
Is anything like this possible? Layering spaces? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
I think this plugin would do just that: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/de.communardo.confluence.plugins.subspace
