Surveys created in v2.0.2 doesn't work in v. 3.0.2

After upgrade to 3.0.2 surveys section throws exception:

com.thoughtworks.xstream.converters.ConversionException: java.util.Collections-SynchronizedMap : java.util.Collections-SynchronizedMap ---- Debugging information ---- message : java.util.Collections-SynchronizedMap cause-exception : com.thoughtworks.xstream.mapper.CannotResolveClassException cause-message : java.util.Collections-SynchronizedMap class : com.adaptavist.confluence.survey.model.Survey required-type : com.adaptavist.confluence.survey.model.Survey converter-type : com.thoughtworks.xstream.converters.reflection.ReflectionConverter path : /com.adaptavist.confluence.survey.model.Survey/sections line number : 7 version : not available -------------------------------
at com.thoughtworks.xstream.core.TreeUnmarshaller.convert(TreeUnmarshaller.java:79)

caused by: com.thoughtworks.xstream.mapper.CannotResolveClassException: java.util.Collections-SynchronizedMap
at com.thoughtworks.xstream.mapper.DefaultMapper.realClass(DefaultMapper.java:79)

I've able to workaround this issue by downgrading x-stream lib from 1.4.5 to 1.2

Is it safe way to deal with the problem?
