Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 21:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I'm creating a status-related page with a number of topics separated out as tabs. For what I'm building, I would greatly prefer to use a vertical tab for this particular page.
But I'm finding that the calendar macro/widget refuses to be full width in the remaining space if the tabs are vertical. It renders fine if it is horizontal.
Example:
{ Tabs Container | direction = horizontal }
{ Tabs Page | title = Calendar }
{ Panel | title = Calendar }
{ Team Calendars | myCalendar }
{/Panel}{/Tabs Page}{/Tabs Container}
Renders full width, like this:
Calendar
+------------------------------------------------------------------+
| calendar contents |
+------------------------------------------------------------------+
Whereas:
{ Tabs Container | direction = vertical } <<=== only change
{ Tabs Page | title = Calendar }
{ Panel | title = Calendar }
{ Team Calendars | myCalendar }
{/Panel}{/Tabs Page}{/Tabs Container}
Renders as narrow as possible, like so:
Calendar | +-------------------+ < unnecessary whitespace >
| | calendar contents |
| +-------------------+
Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?
Hi John, you don't mention if you are using Confluence Server or Confluence Cloud. If you are on Server, are you using the latest software?
I took a look at Atlassian's Jira site (jira.atlassian.com) and didn't find anything specific regarding this issue. You don't have any screen shots of what you're experiencing, but if you are on Cloud or the latest server, this sounds like an issue that you may want to contact support with to get their feedback. You can contact them at support.atlassian.com/contact.
Hope that helps.
I don't actually know, though I assume it is hosted on our network. I didn't take a screenshot because I didn't want to go through all the work of creating a calendar that doesn't contain non-public information, so I just added some ASCII-art to explain what I'm seeing. Hope that helps.
