Title is garbled when template has variables

When using the "Create Page Macro" and specifying a template which has variables, the title is garbled on creation- see screenshot

Using version 3.2.1 on confluence 5.7.1

Any ideas?

I'm seeing this as well on Confluence 5.7.4 with both 3.2.1 and 3.2.2 versions. Adding in a parameter to the template garbles the title in the created page. There doesn't seem to be any workaround, other than users editing the title after creating the page.
