Currently using the below but then not getting a compatible JRE.
wget https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/downloads/binary/atlassian-confluence-6.15.4-x64.bin
I curently have the following installed.
openjdk version "1.8.0_212"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_212-8u212-b03-0ubuntu1.18.04.1-b03)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.212-b03, mixed mode)
But i get the errors

Hello there Steve!
Let me check if I understand the situation correctly. You are facing issues after downloading the installer. The issue actually stems from an incompatible JDK, is that correct?
This could be triggered by a few things. One of them is already listed, your JDK. The other one is some problem with permissions under your folders.
With this in mind, make sure that confluence-user (or anything else that the user is named) has enough permissions under:
The permissions that are needed are read, write and execute. The user that is used to run Confluence must have all of those.
Be aware that, if we run Confluence with root for example, it will change the permissions of some files and folders under Confluence install and home folders.
You can check our guide on Confluence Installation for Linux. There, we have instructions on how to change folder permissions and ownership:

Hope this shed some light into your issue Steve. Looking forward to your reply!
