Update Date Format

The results of my Jira Filter is showing in MMM DD YYYY format (Apr 01 YYYY) on Confluence.  I am seeing that to use the aggregate by date function for Pivot Macro / Chart for Table, I have to change the date format.

How can I change date format of a Jira filter on Confluence?

I followed instruction for setting date format with Table Filter and Charts but no luck.

The end goal is to create a time area chart showing # of defects created by month for each components. I have created pivot table showing number of defects by componencts so the only thing missing is the aggregation by date piece.

PS: I do not have admin access to change the date display setting.
