Update used templates in Confluence

Yanick Belart

Hi there,

I recognized that "already used" templates pages are not updated, after modifying the template itself (e.g. adding an additional row in a page proberty table in the template). Is there any way to update all pages (adding the row) which have been created by using the template?

Many thanks for helping me.

Best regards,
Yanick

There's no record of what template was used to create a page, so I'm afraid there is no way to even begin to do this.

You could take an educated guess and hope the users have not moved it too far away from the template so you can still identify pages made with one.  But that's hard work and may miss pages, as well as relying on the user not changing the bit you want to change.

Templates are exactly what the dictionary says they are - standard starting points, irrelevant once used.
