Upgrading to Confluence 7.3 with MS SQL Server

I ran into an issue with upgrading Confluence to 7.3. The issue looks to be the database configuration. I followed the online documentation of the config file and it did now seem to work. I looked into the data source issue and that too did not work. I am at a loss with this and am looking for assistance.
