Why doesn't the sort order persist on a PDF export from Confluence?

Katie Milham October 6, 2016

I have a page with various tables that use the Table Enhancer Macro for sorting.  When I export my page to PDF, the sort order doesn't persist.  Why is this happening?

Is there a way to do this without an add on?

Not sure it is possible currently, because table is sorted on a client and PDF export is generated on a server that knows nothing about client sorting. So Table Filter caches clients table state for export and makes it possible export.

Try Table Filter and Charts for Confluence add-on. Table sort order remains when you export page to PDF.
