auto insert new row on button pressed

hi,

is there a way for me to have this scenario:

whenever the accept button is pushed, a row will be added to an existing table and the data is going to be the user who is currently logged in and the system date.

so there are only two columns in the table, and the data that was inserted will be kept and the table will just keep adding depending on when the button is pushed.

I was able to get the current user logged in but that's about it.

the purpose of this is to have a log and keep track of every user who pressed the accept button.

If this will not be possible, please suggest a workaround that may have similar results.
