Hello everyone,
is there any way to cascade labels from a parent page or have sub pages inherit labels from its parent?
I can't seem to find anything in page information or any other place.
I'm using confluence 6.0.6
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy
We don't have that feature but it has been requested: Inherited labels for child pages and attachments If you vote or comment on the suggestion you can help influence the dev team, and you will be added to notifications for the ticket.
The workaround of using the plugin Labeler - Content Organizer won't work for Confluence 6.x, I am afraid. Nor was I able to find another add-on in the Marketplace that provides inherited labels.
Please let us know more about what you are using the labels for so I (or someone in the Community) can possibly find another workaround.
Ann,
Thanks for the reply. I'm using labels for search purposes. Some of my pages are imported from word documents and they have many subpages associated with them. I was just hoping for an easy way to get all of those subpages labeled rather than go into each one individually.
I will go and upvote this for development. I've always loved this feature for security purposes in NTFS systems. I think it would be a great feature for lables.

Ann,
I found that I can paste mutliple labels at once. That, while not a complete fix, is an acceptable workaround for me at the time.
thank you,
Jeremy

Hi,
I'm actually not sure about the status quo on DC or Server.
However, it is definitely possible in the Cloud Version (and maybe another reason to move to the cloud;) )
(Quick Disclaimer, I work for the Vendor of the following app)
Magic Labels for Confluence can actually do that. You can, apart from Bulk editing and some other features, allow labels to be inherited.
Maybe this will help others searching for a workaround as well :)
