I'm trying to connect my locally hosted Service Desk to the cloud base confluence to be used as a knowledge base. When I try and connect I get the error Client must be authenticated to access this resource.
I researched this issue and the following is outlined:
Check if 2-Legged OAuth is configured correctly in Confluence
Hey Vic,
Since the link is not being able to be created from the cloud instance, it could be related to some internal issues that we could check in the https://support.atlassian.com channel. However, you mentioned that you can't see an App link in Confluence through the Application Links console. Given that, is there a different result while connecting one application to the other?
Wish you the best,

Thank you for your feedback. There are a couple of issues I am struggling with. I just want to make sure my configuration is OK to use (Confluence Cloud and JIRA Service Desk Server).
I was able to install the diagnostic tool on my server based JIRA instance, but this is not an option on the cloud based confluence side so I can’t run diagnostic there.
I’m not sure how to delete my application link in confluence when it never appears. Although, it must be there because I see the included screen.
I’m not sure where to go from here?confluence1.jpg

Hey Vic,
The simplest way to debug this is using Applinks Diagnostics Plugin.
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.applinks.applinks-diagnostics-plugin
Recommend deleting existing links on both JIRA and Confluence. Create new links, and use the diagnostics plugin to find any issues in app links.
