confluence invite link broken after URL change

Gualter Augusto February 7, 2018

Hello,

I have a test instance with JIRA + JIRA SD + Confluence all together in one host.

I changed the static IP in the host machine a few days ago, now every time i use the invite link to invite my teammates, after putting the logging details i get this error:

com.atlassian.crowd.exception.runtime.OperationFailedException: org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException: Connect to XXXXXXX

where XXXXX is the old ip address.

Where do i need to change the old URL to the new in order to get this to work?

Thanks,

Are you inviting your teammates from JSD? How are you accessing your JIRA/JSD? Please verify if base URL look Okay. Is the BASE URL DNS resolves to the right IP. The other areas where you can check the ip address is, /etc/hosts file of your server (for linux).

thanks for the reply.

This happened when i changed the static ip on the host machine.

In the meantime, i uninstalled everything and set up again on different folders and everything is working now. But i had to re-do all the configurations again because i tried to reinstall confluence and by mistake installed under the same DB as jira (and by doing that i corrupted the db).

Now everything is working. I did not fix the issue, i just reinstalled everything
