individual setting for mail notification

hello, 

we intend to setup Confluence for 250 users and have actual around 10 spaces. We have an open philosophy, so many persons see all spaces (specially our IT department, because they sometime might to be involved).  We recommend to set mail notification to "once a day".

Now we encounter, that this setting and our open space philosophy leads to too many notifications. We would like to have some kind of "personal mail rule" for users. They should be able to select from which Confluence spaces they need the notification and from which they don't. 

Any idea, how it's possible to provide such function to a normal Confluence user?

thanks Diego for your feedback .. but I am not sure, if this should cover our situation.

We would like to have daily summery by mail, but only for those spaces, where a person chooses to watch. It looks, that this combination is not possible. Any idea?

Hello there Roland!

The users can sure control their own notifications. The first level of this control would be to watch or stop watching spaces. When you access a Space, you have an option to watch it:

                                    

If the user chooses to Watch all content in this space, he/she will be notified of everything that happens there. Watching can also be set for single pages so the user receives notifications pertaining only to said page.
