Hello everybody,
Unfortunately, during the installation of Confluence, the same problem always occurs with me. I have recently reinstalled Confluence, it still does not work.
I'm denied the connection to localhost: 8090.
I've already switched off the firewall, but it still does not work. Ports are all unlocked.
The start.bat simply disappears after a few milliseconds without issuing an output.
Actually, I installed Confluence as a service, but I do not see it under Services.
Cheers.
Is there anything going into the log files at all?
<confluence home>/log/atlassian-confluence.log is the first one to check, then <confluence installation>/logs/catalina.out next
If they have nothing being written at all, then the service is completely unable to start. The next test would be a command line shell, changing directory to <confluence install>/bin and issuing "start-confluence.bat" to see what that does.
No logs were created in both folders.
I ran the start-confluence.bat over the cmd and Confluence was installed.
Now the only question is why the link from the start_service.bat did not work.
Cheers.

The next step is to look at the "environment". If the "start confluence" script works when run on the command line, but the service fails, then what's the difference in the environment those two run in?
