hi there,
we try to use the mobile app for our table charts (using addon table filter and charts for confluence, version 5.0.9. our confluence is on 6.15.1). howexver, the page does not load in the app when there is an excerpt macro on the page. without the macro the chart is rendered quite correctly. looks like a bug?
cheers
Florian
Hello Florian,
Thank you for reaching out about this! I do know that a few macros do not yet work in Confluence Mobile, but they should be giving you an error message as follows:
They shouldn't be just not loading the page itself.
Can you tell me, if you were to use the Excerpt Include Macro to display something other than a chart, does the same thing occur? Please test it with just some plain text and let me know if the same issue occurs.
Does this occur only on pages with the Excerpt Macro itself and not the Excerpt Macro? If you're not sure of the difference, the Excerpt Include macro is the one that displays the included content, whereas the Excerpt Macro is the one you use to mark the data you want to include on another page.
Looking forward to hearing from you on this!
Regards,
Shannon
Hi Shannon,
thank you for answering! Well, I see I should have been a little more precise, sorry ...
The page itself is loading, that works. But when there is a chart macro on the page (via table filter and chart addon) and an excerpt macro as well, then the chart continues rendering and will not be loaded.
I also get a red error message saying "error with excerpt macro".
When I delete the excerpt macro, the chart is rendered within seconds.
Btw, on other pages I get the same error message with excerpt include macro.
Cheers
Florian

Hello Florian,
Thank you for verifying. So from your response, I understand that TWO macros are involved; both the Excerpt Include Macro and the Excerpt Macro. Is this correct?
I was investigating this issue, but I just realized that you raised a new ticket today with the support team for this same issue. To avoid anyone asking the same questions twice, I commented on that ticket with a link to this Community thread.
My recommendation now would be to send a copy of your Support Zip to that ticket. That way we can review your logs and determine the cause for this, if it's a bug, or if the macro doesn't yet work with the mobile app.
Once you've done that, we will investigate and let you know the next step.
The work will now continue on the Support Ticket. Once there's a resolution, we can update this thread with the answer so that it can help other users in the future.
Regards,
Shannon
