I am wondering if anyone here has found a way to prevent print screens on Confluence. We have a few pages that we would like to prevent users from grabbing screen shots or printing the pages out. Can I use an HTML tag or some other macro to prevent that.
Hi Daniel,
As Nic already mentioned, there is basically nothing that you can do to prevent a user from taking a screenshot, printing the stuff or grabbing the information displayed on the screen. Even if there would be something "magic", it would not prevent the user from taking a pen and a pice of paper to copy the information (old school method) or simply take a photo with his/her smartphone (worst case even post it on Instagram).
Regards
Ed
Printing is a browser function, so no. You've served up a page (and to do that, you have to have "downloaded" the page to the browser too), so it's now on the user's client machine, and they can do what they want with it.
