why UPM update running for a long time; not ending?

UPM showed few updates and when I clicked update all it has downloaded all and then started installing. But the process is not ending. I have restarted confluence 3 times but still same problem.

Hi Jangid,

Joachim's approach is pretty solid, if that doesn't work, you can try this approach

UPM is bundled plugin of Confluence, so that could be corrupted, you can try to rebuild the bundled plugins, and for that, I suggest that you try this steps:



# Shutdown Confluence
Delete the content from the following folders:
# The _<confluence-home>/bundled-plugins_ folder
# The _<confluence-home>/plugin-cache_ folder
# The _<confluence-home>/plugins-osgi-cache_ folder
# Start Confluence


. I highly suggest that you schedule a downtime to do this approach.

Hi Jangid,

A couple of things you can check:

  1. The correctness of your Server Base URL (that's one of the most common problem in UPM)
  2. Do you have any SSL or proxy servers running in front of Confluence? Try to disable it and see if UPM works?
  3. Which version of Confluence that you are running? Try to check the plugin version of UPM for its compatibilityness.
