Crowd-Apache connector 2.0 on Debian5

Hi,

has anyone tried to build/install the crowd-apache connector 2.0 on a Debian5 machine? Crowd documentation says it is only for Debian6, I wonder if someone has tested it on Debian5 before I make a big move to Debian6.
