I am first time installing Crowd 2.4 on Centos 6.2 and unable to continue installation wizard Default Administrator creation. i am using default integrated data base and Base URl as http://localhost:8095/crowd.
Can you make sure that you are able to ping localhost? If you are not able to ping localhost, then that would be a problem with your OS' hosts file (<tt>C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts</tt> for Windows and <tt>etc/hosts</tt> for Linux). Simply add the mapping for 127.0.0.1 to localhost in that file. Refer to your OS manual for more info on how to do that. But if you are able to ping localhost, then shutdown Crowd, Remove the Crowd Home Directory (to restart the Crowd installation), and restart Crowd. After Crowd is started, make sure that you are able to access Crowd via http://localhost:8095/crowd , and make sure that you set the base URL to http://localhost:8095/crowd, in 1 try.
Hi Sanathw,
Any errors thrown in the UI when you access http://localhost:8095/crowd ? Have you tried using IP address rather than the localhost. Provide us with a screenshot of the error you are getting and a little bit of the stack trace logged in {{CROWDHOME/atlassian-crowd.log}} file
