Remote crowd authentication through HTTP proxy

Is it possible to reach a remote crowd via a HTTP proxy server ?

We use an http proxy server to access crowd (aka: we get to it via' http://www.company.com) using an apache http proxy. It looks like the following: 

ProxyPreserverHost on
 
ProxyPass / https://localhost:8443/
ProxyPassReverse / https://localhost:8443/

note, I've disabled the '/crowd' context through the Atlassian tutorials, so YMMV. Anyway, assuming I interpreted what you were asking correctly, yes, it's totally possible.
