Ciao!
I would like to start a new Jira Product Discovery project reusing many of the things I did for an existing one: views, statuses, fields.
The many fields I defined 1 year ago as project fields now should be made global, so that I can reuse them also in the new project.
I couldn't find any way to achieve it?
(For the bigger need - reusing views, statuses, and fields - a clone of the project would event work better).
Is there any suggestion?
Grazie,
Simone
@Simone Longoni @Thierry BLOCH Funny you should ask: just this morning we had a design review about a tool to help you in that transition. We haven't started building it yet.
Today you'll need to create and configure the new field, then update ideas that use this field to have the right value - which you can do via automation, or using bulk edit from a list view (select many ideas > apply a field value in the list > it applies the value to all ideas)
> or using bulk edit from a list view (select many ideas > apply a field value in the list > it applies the value to all ideas
i didn't know that! Thanks Tanguy

It's hard to make this one discoverable! We've tried a few different ways.
So in your case, I'd recommend to :

Hello
what i did :
1. rename old field myfield_old
2. create a new one myfield
3 copy data with automation myfield_old => myfield
4 delete myfield_old
