Labels Bug?

I am noticing in Jira Product Discovery that after I added initial label options for the Labels field that I now can no longer add more fields or delete existing fields. Is this a known limitation or are there instructions to adjust settings to allow for these basic changes? I can add options and edit options for some other fields but Labels is one I cannot.

Do you mean that you cannot add more labels via this panel? 

If it's the case, it is an expected behaviour. Labels field works a bit differently than other select/multi-select fields. To create new options, you need to add them inline, directly from the idea or the list view 

Please let me know if you can also not add new labels this way.
We are aware this behavior is not optimal, and we will explore how to improve label fields.

Selecting and adding a label using the Chrome Extension to add ideas, doesn't add the label to the new idea on the board.  Does the select label option not work using the Chrome extension?

@Hermance NDounga Thank you for the explanation! Yes, its inconvenient but workable as is. I just needed to know where to go. How do I edit existing Labels then too?

You cannot edit the string of text of a label, you can only create new ones and delete old ones. 

When you click on the label option you can only edit its formatting.

@Hermance NDounga I may need more coffee, so I'm clear - create in line, delete in line from an idea, but managing the field definitions (edit text, delete a label, or create new) is not an option at this time. correct?  (yuck)

As a use case note: we're 'moving items' and creating new ones, so lesson leaned, delete labels before moving at this point.  :)
