How to add Non Jira Contributers?

Hi,

I'm trying to add Contributors to our JIRA PD Project of which I am an administrator.

We want to test out only Atlassian ID users, these people do not JIRA access.

When I hover over the Contributor role on the Access page it has a yellow warning triangle and an alt text that says...

"Only users of Jira can be contributors in this project. If you would like non-Jira users to contribute, you need to turn on the Jira Product Discovery contributors group.

Where do I turn on the Jira Product Discovery contributed group?

When I click on the configure text for the row of Contributors I get a 404 page not found.

Hi @David.brimley ,

This other Community post should help - specifically under the Add Contributors section.

By default, users that have Jira access will automatically be contributors. Users without Jira access need to be added into the contributors group which is outlined in the steps of that linked page!

Thanks @Nick Haller! @David.brimley please note that only site admins can turn on the contributors group and add users to it.

Thank you, Nick, but I don't have Admin access to the site, so I'll ask our folks to do that. It seems like once this group is turned on, I should be able to add contributors myself as the JIRA PD Admin of that project.

BTW any idea why I get a 404 when I click on the configure link?

@David.brimley the 404 is a bug on our side! We'll make it a nicer flow soon so you know why you can't access that page.
