Assets: Error message when creating an Object based on the attributes of a preceding object

Howzit everyone,

Our IT staff currently have to manually capture a large amount of hardware data in our Assets database.

When starting a new entry, Assets provides an option to select the data from a preceding entry from a drop-down which can be inserted into the fields of the new entry.

However, the user still has to click and edit each individual field (even if the new data exactly matches the old data), otherwise an error message appears and the new entry cannot be saved. So basically, it saves no time.

Is there a way to make efficient use of this feature, or or any other way to manually add repetitive entries?

Have a great day!

Paul

We've decided to go with cloning entries.
