Automation Rule for changing due date

Marcel Rode September 19, 2023

Hi,

we're using an automation rule to keep track on how often a due date was changed. Therefore we have a number field which is increasing by 1 everytime the due date will be changed.

Generally this works pretty well. The only down side is, that it will increase the counter even when the ticket is orignially created and the due date was initially filled. Does anyone have an idea on how to tackle this issue? Like to check if the due date was empty previously or something? Unfortunatly I didn't find something which was working for me :(

Any help is much apprechiated.

@Marcel Rode

Under your trigger, change the issue operations to Edit, Transition, Assign.

Wow that was so easy that I'm now a little embarrased. Thank you very much.
