Kindly have a look in the atlassian-jira.log for errors.

Ok, then you have to try to update a queue and open the atlassian-jira.log file at the same time and have a look for errors. The atlassian-jira.log file is situated in the JIRA_HOME in the server, where your Jira instance is installed.
