Can we have another Search engine in JIRA Service DESK?

We would like to plug another Search Engine (ElasticSearch) for example for JIRA Service DESK Knowledge base feature in the customer portal search box?

Is that possible? Any help?

This is currently not possible with JIRA Service Desk but we do have an open suggestion on our issue tracker: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-143
