How can i create a report on jira showing a custom field as an axis?

Hi,

I am looking for a report based on a filter which I have already:

status != Closed AND reporter in (membersOf(NOC)) AND createdDate > -10w

This will bring up all of my tasks created by our live services.

I want a report which will show me - OF THESE TASKS... HOW MANY ARE

custom field value x

custom field value y

etc etc.

I'm thinking in a pie chart but any chart will do.  Or any way to see easily on the screen how many of these results are in each of the available values in my custom field

Use a "filter statistics" gadget on your dashboard.  You'll be able to set parameters such that "use my saved filter" and "count by custom field value"
