How do i create a link from a help desk portal article to a confluence page?

When I insert hyperlinks in a service desk project article in Jira to a page in my team's main confluence site I get this message: 

Not Found

The knowledge base article could not be found.

I'm guessing its something to do with permissions but can't find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
