Hello! I am trying to understand how the Jira Service Management and Raley Notifications integration work underneath the hood. I have not been able to find any details on this on your web. The background for the question is Schrems II (GDPR) and our need to better understand and manage any "transfer" of personal data to a "third country".

It would also be useful, however, to get som information on how this is set up from Atlassian's side. How does Atlasian "invite" third parties' components to integrate with the JSM?

It depends on how the Raley add-on is designed to integrate with JSM. For example, some add-ons will require Application Link setup (to establish external application integration with Jira/JSM) or Webhook setup etc...
I am sure that Raleys should be able to provide the details.
