In Jira Service Management, when a customer submits an email request they shortly after receive an email that looks like this:
My question is; how can I edit the contents of this email, an preferably also change the language.
Usually one can find these email templates under Project Settings ➜ Customer notifications but not for this particular email, which is strange... 🤔
There is also an email that says something along the lines of "Just confirming that we got your request. We're on it." Would also like to change that.

I think you are right - there doesn't seem to be an option for this. There doesn't seem to be a backlog item for this either.
You can disable the initial email sent when a user registers for access (via the portal):
And you can customize the invitation email - when users are invited to join:
