Issues are being created via email addresses that are on our domain, however, external emails are not creating issues. Our handlers have not be altered in any manner and things were working fine up until last week. I checked the Lotus Notes inbox and it is accepting all email types. JIRA is just not pulling in the emails. I am in desperate need of help!
Have you looked at the mail logs to see if there are any issues?
Also, look for a mail with a large attachment. I have seen cases where the mail handler gets stuck on one particular mail (usually with a very large attachment), and stop processing further. Manually deleting that mail from the inbox usually clears things right up.
We purged the entire email box. I looked inside the logs and I read a message stating:
"HelpDesk JIRA Pop3 Created user annaschillerrealtor@gmail.com as reporter of email-based issue.
2020-03-13 15:50:01,973 WARN [Pop3Lotus HealthCareNav] Caesium-1-1 anonymous HelpDesk JIRA Pop3 HelpDesk JIRA Pop3[10300]: Sender is anonymous, no default reporter specified and creating users is set to false (or external user management is enabled). Message rejected."
