One group in Customer portal

Mayssam Ismail June 25, 2018

Hi,

i'm trying to show one project in the customer portal to minimize user complexity, it would be simple if I can only show requests in the main page and not under groups Untitled.png

you cannot eliminate the group function even if there is only one group.

Mayssam,

What you're displaying is the main help center. All service desk project will show under as shown. In your case, you've one service desk project.

As for groups, this involves Request Types. You can have your request type in various groups. For example, your request type INCIDENT can be in General or Need Approval group.

Thank you again for the reply,

Exactly what i don't want, i don't want to use groups in requests.

i prefer to show all by default in the portal.

Mayssam,

Then remove all your request types from any and all groups.

Go to each request type --> Uncheck all the groups it belongs to and see if that works.

Hey @Mayssam Ismail

If you limit your customers to be only able to view one project then it will not send them to the main page like the image you have shown.

The reason that you see it as the image, is because you have access to multiple different JSD projects.

If you provide a link to your customer like the below they will directly access the portal you want them to. 4 represents the project portal ID.

https://jira.jira.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/4

I hope this helps! Let me know if I need to clear anything up for you!

Have a great week!
