Hi together,
We are importing all users via Active Diretory sync. To ensure that our users have access to our Servicedesk Portal we created the jira Group - customers. Unfortunately the AD Import does not set the Group to the users. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
Here the parameter set in our ad sync configuration. Group customers was created in Jira.
Hi Andreas,
Please note that the users are only added to the 'customers' group AFTER they first login to Jira. You can read more on Atlassian's KB here - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/connecting-to-an-ldap-directory-861253200.html
If you are seeing symptoms of users logging in and still not being automatically added to the 'customers' group, then you might be running into this issue where the same 'customers' group exists in LDAP already. Hi Daniel,
thanks for your answer. I realized that I cannot link users in a ticket with @User as long as they are not in group customers. I thought that this problem will be solved when the group would be set with the import. Do you know how to fix this?

Hi Both,
Is there a way we can set the users to jira-users group while doing the AD import/sync?
