Hi
I am looking to add an additional ticket status for a certain ticket type (without changing anything in the workflow in other tickets).
I have found a single article > https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/How-to-add-additional-ticket-Status/qaq-p/1224383
But, this is not something that I am looking to do.
An additional status, for a single ticket type(without touching other tickets).
Is that possible please?
Thanks
Hi @Tomasz Bis ,
You can add an additional status, but if it is not present in the workflow, there will be no way to transition the issue into that status. The workflow determines what status an issue can be set to and when it can be set. However, if you are fine with allowing any status to transition to the new status, you can modify the workflow and add the status and tick the box that says "Allow all statuses to transition to this one" (See screenshot below)
Thanks @Josh Martin
Does it mean, the new status is going to appears in all ticket types associated to the same workflow?

@Tomasz Bis Yes, but you can assign a workflow to a single Issue Type in project settings. See this documentation article: Configure workflow schemes > Configure a workflow scheme associated with a project.
