Hi,
Is there a way we can create new custom fields dynamically in Jira Service Desk portals for the user to enter multiple data like in the forms of most web sites.
For example, if I have an option in the Create screen 'Add User' (among other fields) and have the following fields displayed by default at first in the tabular format or normally.
User First Name: <text box>
User Last Name: <text box>
User Email: <text box>
Then, there will be a button 'Add more'.
If the user selects 'Add more', then the above details are displayed in the tabular form with 'Edit' and 'Remove' options as well as the above three fields should be displayed again dynamically to add more data and so on.
'Remove' option to delete any record that is entered and 'Edit' for editing the data before the ticket is submitted.
I have ScriptRunner installed and open to evaluate any marketplace plugins which will fulfil my requirement.
Thanks,
Vamsi
Hello @Vamsi Kandala and @Andrew Laden
It's Aleksandra from Deviniti - the vendor of the Extension app.
Thank you so much for suggesting the Bundled Fields feature 🤩
The use case described seems to perfectly match the functionality we provide in Extension. With bundled fields, you can bundle all information into one custom field, which is then displayed as an additional form in the request. Here in sub-fields, we support many different field types. You can also reorder them, change their size, or place short fields next to each other in a custom layout to save some space on the request form. These features are most useful for collecting multiple users' data 😊
For more details, I encourage you to take a look at this chapter in our documentation: Extension for JSM | Bundled Fields
Hopefully, you'll find it useful!
Cheers,
Aleksandra

Take a look at the "Bundled Field" functionality in "Extension for JSM"

That should be pretty close to what you want to do.
