How to Lock fields after transition

Hello,

I am looking to lock all fields of a ticket AFTER it has been transitioned from Open status.

We are using the system to Track our Change Management tickets and want to be able to lock all the fields from modification once the ticket has been transitioned out of "OPEN".  The desired result is that we will not allow any fields to change as it goes through the approval process and can only be modified if in "OPEN" status.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you are using the Server or Data Center deployment, you can use the advanced workflow properties to lock down permissions in specific statuses.
