If a User in Jira SD opens a ticket themselves and then closes it themselves the Jira SD ticket shows as being unassigned? and we have to go in manually to add an assignee but cannot add the assignee as the User as it only shows IT staff? So had to create a Jira account ResolvedByUser to resolve this. Any ways to resolved this to show the User as the Assignee?

It's no possible. The assigne is always an agent.
