As I wanted to Upload a file larger than 10 MB I recognized that I have to increase the size limit for attachments.
I have changed the attachment size limit from the default 10 MB to 30 MB, by clicking settings --> system --> attachments --> change settings --> at size limit I entered 30000000 --> update
I also updated the webwork.multipath.maxSize property to 30000000 in the web.properties configuration file located at /opt/atlassian/jira/altassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes
Next I´ve tried it again and the same error message was displayed than before.
Then I have uploaded a file smaller 10 MB and it was successful. I´ve tried to upload another file larger than 10 MB but it also failed.
Problem solved. There was an uploadlimit of 10 MB at the nginx config.
Hello!
If by increasing the size of the attachments then the files are moved by email, can the email servers of Microsoft, google... etc. have problems to attach such files?
Thank you!

How can I reduce an attachment file size or get around the max 250mb file attachment limit?

Hi @8com ,
changing the attachments settings in the admin section should work. That's the place to adjust the maximum size.
Do you see any errors in the logfiles?

Hey @Thomas Schlegel there are no errors in the logfiles. Is there a specific logfile for attachment errors?
