I am working on product development reporting. Part of this, I would want to see how many tasks made by the end of each month including all of the tasks' statuses on those said months. I wonder if there is a way to retrieve that data. Any suggestions on how to access such data? I do appreciate all of the help.

Hi,

This is possible with our app using the Trend reports.

AIO Reports and Timesheets for Jira

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212942/aio-reports-and-timesheets-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Documentation link:

A sample screenshot is included below. Data can be reported as a table, bar chart or pie chart and can also be exported to excel.

Hi @France Gatchalian

You didn't specify what format you would want to export to, but one logical format would be Excel. To get a nicely formatted Excel export with correct data types (numbers, dates, etc) one app you can try is Better Excel Exporter.

If you pull together the tasks with a JQL query in the Issue Navigator that you want to export, you can get an Excel export like this or you can even use the Sevice Desk Report template that is shipped with the app and create a report with pivot tables and charts, etc:

(Disclaimer: Better Excel Exporter is a paid app and I'm part of the team developing it.)

Hi Levente,

Thanks for the recommendations. It is indeed in Excel. I am checking the example templates that you have, but I wonder if it has the functionality to extract what are the numbers when it was in 31 Jan, 29 Feb, 31 March and so on. The differences of the numbers at the end of each month is something I want to trend, to visualize activities in our project.

Yes, sure. Similarly to the pivot table above, you could export the creation dates (or any other date values) and group the tasks by date (not issue type as in the above example). That would give you the number of tasks created on a given day.

I recommend taking advantage of the 30-day free trial so you can give the Service Desk Report inside Better Excel Exporter a try. If you have any app-specific questions or need any help achieving exactly what you want, you reach us always via our support system.
