Load dropdown with values from API call on Create Issue page load

I'm looking for a solution where i can call rest API to get the data from other system and load dropdown with name values and once name is selected from drop down, other relevant field gets populated with corresponding values from the jason. please how can i achieve this.

You would need a scripting field for something like this. You can check out https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/scripted-fields.html which is from ScriptRunner add-on.
