Hello,
We have a customer, let's call him "customer".
This customer works with a partner, let's call him "partner".
We are looking for a way to share a certain type of incidents with the partner and the customer.
Basically each will have it's portal (one customer access to customer, another to partner)=>
- Customer should see tickets of customer and partner
- Partner should see tickets of partner
- Partner should not see tickets tickets of customer
All those tickets will be transfered to our service desk as any other kind of ticket.
We can not find out how to do that in service desk.
The "organizations" field does not seem to allow this kind of right management.
Is there a way to implement that with service desk ?
Create organization for "Partner". Create organization for "Customer". Add Partners to the partner organization. Add customer to the customer AND Partner organization. This should allow the customer to see tickets from both but the partners to only see their tickets.
As @Jan suggesed, you can do it out of the box with Jira, but it requires editing permission schemes for what you'd like them to access, and what you'd like to limit, and then make sure everyone internally has the right permssison schemes so they don't lose access, and you have to put someone in charge of remembering to update the permission schemes, training project manangers to use them properly and to remove the users when they leave.
Or, you could use External Share for Jira Guest Access
and share individual tickets, their subtasks, or whole kanban boards, with time limited, password protected links.
