This would be incredibly useful. Has an answer been provided for this yet?
We really need this feature, to make sure the user to double check again the form before submited

Hi Alvin!
We know that you're seeking for a solution that allows the Customer Portal to behave just like the inside application does (the "issue XXXX has been created" pop-up message)".
Unfortunately, there is no out-of-the-box option to achieve this behavior within the Customer Portal on Jira Service Desk.
Actually, every time that the customer opens a request and then click on the "Submit" button, he'll be redirected to the newly created request page.
In addition, he'll also receive an email confirming that the Jira Service Desk Team received his request, with the default text: "Just confirming that we got your request. We're on it." as defined in the "Request Created" rule at the Customer Notification page.
Hope this could be of any help for you!
Best Regards.

@Henrique Bittencourt, The problem is a customer can raise a request for another customer and he/she can't see the newly created request page

Also, users ending up on the request view page might be confused about what to do next.
The mere fact that Atlassian themselves do this - they show a "Thank you, your request ID XXX has been submitted" - indicates that there is a need for such a confirmation.
Email will arrive much later, this kind of confirmation dialog/message needs to be shown immediately.

Definitely needed to help users know that they need to edit and then submit. Any way to do this now?
