How come resolution ID's are not appearing for me?

Hi all,

I'm currently working on attempting to exclude certain resolution options from one project instance but still have the resolution values appear in other projects. After investigating, I understand I would be able to do this using "jira.field.resolution.exclude" in transition properties. Where I'm stuck, however, is that the Resolution ID's are not appearing for me. In order to view the resolution ID's, do you need to be a JIRA administrator? Currently my role is administrator in the one project I am tasked with updating, so not sure if that's the issue. To get to the resolution ID's, I performed the following steps:

  • To get the Resolution IDs, go to Jira Settings / Admin > Issues > Resolutions, press Edit next to a resolution and the ID is the numeric code after "?id=" in the title

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the community.  To access the UI that you mention, yes you will need to have Jira system admins rights.

However, you can use REST API to get a listing of resolutions with your system...

Example -  https://<yoursite>.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/resolution

Use this in your browser page, you will get a list of resolution with IDs...

Hope this helps.
