Hi,
i'm cleaning up a bit after a trail period of jira desk. It seems our company has no need for jira desk, so we stick to confluence and Jira.
now i see a user group that i can't delete. any idea how to delete old desk data ?
i have the same problem with fields, like "approvals". i cannot remove because its jira desk related, but jira desk is already uninstalled. what a mess.. :(
Hello @Kurt Callebaut
Go to Jira administration cog top right corner, user management -> groups and find group you want ro remove.
You need to have admin rights.

Hello,
It's not a bug, its the default group associated with Service Desk licensed users, people who belong to that group have Service Desk license. If you don't use SD anymore, you can de-install the application and the group will disappear.

well, thats my point. service desk trail version is uninstalled and i had to cleanup everything manually, now it seems there is some remaining data that i can't delete.
(or i don't knwo how.)
see screenshot, no service desk anymore. So yes its a bug. because the user group is still there :)

Okay,
You are using Cloud version?

Check part "Edit and delete groups"
You can’t delete groups marked as Default access group.
And after that check this

So,
- jira desk is uninstalled
- jira desk did NOT cleanup his data.
- i have no rights to cleanup the jira desk data.
- i cannot give myself rights to it, because it doesn't exist.

Did some more research on this matter, one more thing, have you tried re-indexing?
Here are some more data on how to remove excess data when removing SD, but looks like it's a known problem.

Thx Olga, For the response.
Another known issue. :(
Plugin only available for server version, not cloud ?
And reverting version in the cloud ? Not possible i guess.
