My team exports Jira tickets into Excel, then manipulates the data into individual work sheets for tech agents.
Is there a product that allows my team to do this all within Jira without having to export? All data is there already, no need to export, just need a reporting tool
Hi @Paul Mosca
have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira. It sounds like a perfect fit you.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you'd do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting. With these, you can build powerful, interactive reports like e.g. this one in just a couple of clicks:
This is, of course, just an example - like with e.g. Excel or Google Sheets, you can build virtually any report you can think of. JXL also supports all JSM fields (plus a range of JSM-specific "smart columns" that aren't natively available, like e.g. the "last response to customer", etc. etc.), and is available for all hosting modes (Cloud, DC, and even Server).
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes

Hi Paul,
Can you provide some more information or an example? What manipulation are you doing?
Also, are you Jira Server or Jira Cloud?
