Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I have 2 differents projects. The first one is to use with some specific customers outside the organisation so I had set the Customer Permission to Customer who are added to the project. My second one is for our IT Support so I had set Customer permissions to Customer who have an account on this Jira Site.
But the way it's currently configured, all my esternal customre from project 1 can see both project portal an I only want them to see project 1.
How can I configure the security to restrict access to my IT Support page only to the internal employee (LDAP Active Directory list).
Thank you
Hi @Steve Dignard ,
You can make the project closed / private and add your internal users in the customer section so they would see the portal in the help center.
External customer would see only 1 portal but internal would see 2.
Let me know if you manage on your own.
Cheers,
Radu
Hi. Thank you for the information. I am new with Jira and had not found how to make the project private. Is there any documentation related to this?

Hi @Steve Dignard ,
I'm unable to find the right docs for this. The closes thing I could find is https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeval/jira-service-desk-evaluator-resources/jira-service-desk-agents-customers-and-roles . And then just reading the description of each option in the selector gives you an idea of what would happen.
I'm sorry I'm not able to provide you with a more comprehensive document base.
Cheers,
Radu

Sorry but the document doesn't tell me how should I do this.

@Steve Dignard sorry, I realised it's not there. I'll create an article on this in 1 weeks' time.
I post some screenshots and outcomes on how to achieve this.
I would be helpful to me if you'd let me know how you expect such an article to be like.
Here is my past article so you know what you can expect.
Thanks,
Radu

An article with some screenshot on the steps to follow will be great (Like your previous article. ) I need this in order to make that project available to my customers.
Thank you very much.

@Steve Dignard thank you for your patience. It's been a hectic week. Here is the article I promised https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Desk-articles/How-to-Manage-JSD-Portal-Visbility/ba-p/1185887 let me know if that helps and any thoughts you might have.
I did my best to present things clearly but I'm open to suggestions if you have any.
Cheers,
Radu
